Malaysia is like a cowboy town already. I have completely no trust in the police there - who is more interested in taking bribes to look the other way. Its not the first time such crimes were reported in the press and how many were actually caught? Only if it involved high profile members (eg: Mongolian model) that the police act act to do something.
Otherwise, such cases are usually forgotten. And to think the politician keep assuring that JB is actually a safe place - my foot. If the police there can stop a car just to collect some lunch money, what more can one say about the integrity.
Second thought - a toyota ram a proton & the proton break down - tells you have f**ked up the Proton is, cannot even save the passengers in time of danger. if the stupid tin can has not broken down, this would not have happened. And Malaysian government can promote the Proton brand even if its bleeding blood. -
I wonder what the Malaysian police going to do about it

I've got a friend who's like you, a PR, M'sian. But he's married to a Singaporean wife and he never let his wife venture to M'sia alone on work assignments. So sad for the couple esp the girl. Reading and imagining the whole plight just makes me feel so angry and sad.
Someone in Malaysia should make a movie out of this and sensationalize the whole thing. Otherwise, the people and the government will never wake up!
And ppl, please don't be racist. I've seen a lot of improvements esp in Singaporean Malays. They are a much more hardworking lot than years back. I am even very impressed by one Malay teenage neighbour who was intelligent, courteous and helpful and can play beautiful piano pieces from Mozart! -
Maybe the opposition can run a "Boycott M'sia" campaign since our ruling party are too eager to please..
