Probably hallucinating.
I hallucinate sometimes when I get sleep paralysis. Once I saw a ghost coming into my room, and there I was in my bed, paralyzed...the moment I woke up I figured I was just hallucinating, but I was so scared I just ran into my parents room and slept.
