A GUTSY graduate managed to escape from her male captor by pretending to give in to his demand for sex, reported China Press, Sin Chew Daily and Nanyang Siang Pau.
The 24-year-old victim told the dailies that she managed to jump out from her Perodua Kancil when the man tried to unhook her bra.
She said she kicked open the car door and when she tried to jump from the car, the man grabbed her by the neck and pulled her hair.
However, the man let her go and sped off in her car when she shouted for help.
The woman, identified only as Yeung, said she was taking a rest in her car outside her house in SS2 in Petaling Jaya at 11pm last Saturday when a woman, in her 20s, knocked on her car window.“She asked me if I was all right. Without suspecting anything amiss, I started to talk to her after winding down the car window.
“Suddenly, a man armed with a parang came out from nowhere and held me up at knifepoint.
“The two ransacked my car but did not find any valuables. They then drove me to a nearby ATM but could not withdraw money as it had shut down,” she told reporters.
She said the woman then left, leaving her alone with the man.
He drove the car to a back lane and tried to force himself on her.
“I tried to slow him down, knowing that if I refused I would infuriate him and aggravate the situation,” she said.
Yeung then helped the man to take off his shirt and at the same time she, too, acted as if she was taking off hers.
“When he tried to unhook my bra, I knew this would be the best time to escape,” she said.
Besides her car, Yeung lost her handbag containing some cash, ATM cards, a handphone and some personal documents.
