The things there are not even overly expensive but the people there are gangsters. Then his co-workers shout and me to get away. Worst shop ever. I got edvidence that they over charged people.

There's nothing you can do about it. Like what the others said. Just avoid that shop. There's bound to be another shop(DUH
) that has the same stuff as them. -
If this is the way to treat customers, then the government will probably need to come up with a service policy. If a tourist were to go there, I know what they'll say,'' Oh! So this is their 'good' service campaign? Go to h?#$! ''

CASE quite CMI one, unless got alot of people complain, else they will recommend you to get a lawyer to fight you're case.
anyway, what u can do is to complain about it in more forums, eg. hardwarezone, vrforums, etc etc... good to warn others about shops using underhand tactics to make a higher profit (price discrimation).

I agree with you. My new comp(DIY) was bought at Sim Lim Square and the service there is quite good. The person over there explains in detail patiently when i ask him questions. Ya , agree , with those brochure for comparison we all can see it a fair competition.
For 1 and 2nd floor , unless you are super experience bargainer , then dont even go look. Usually tourist they will push the price very high , then if local , and teenage better , know u sure sell cheaper , but i believe is still higher price

i went to a camera shop at 1st floor and was recomended with sanyo C1 , then ask the price , he start thinking : ''teens ar .... sure not much $$ , sell cheap la'' He offer me $500+- , then bring out reciept of a previous ang moh buyer , stated $1200 and another one $1000. Then i go hala a while he offer to giv me a stand and a 1gb memmory card
Oh ya i bought other product too , and the price usually negotiatable , but wont be too low also , if u manage to get the price too low , the shopkeeper buey tahan agree , wait until u buy liao then ask u wan to buy the charger anot (actually is 1 set) , and sell u seperately until the price is back to the prevous price

But not true that SLS don't cheat... A couple of them (not a liberity to say) have known to recommend some added items to boost up sales, and some strong encourage you to upgrade this, upgrade tat... got one case, customer as this shop to set up the computer for him, so he happy happy brought it home the next day... it work fine till one day when he got it repaired the found out... HDD suppose to be 80gig, is 2 x 40gig, and the processor was overclocked... i also have been cheated, my old Pentium 2 MMX was sold to me as a 233 mhz process, it was only a 200mhz, overclock to 233.
A couple of them have closed down (or should i say changed name). so do buy with caution... make sure the box is sealed and the warrenty card is valid, if in unsure ask for a new piece. Got reports of stores offering a used product or an export sets to customers.
Most if not all computer goods come in a sealed anti-static bag, anything else then u should start asking questions. -
I bought my Acer Aspire Labtop at Sim Lim Square and the saleswomen there knows how to clear doubts. I got tough time choosing either a smaller Acer Aspire and another Acer Aspire. The small have a webcam. She said that the smaller one is better as it could play games but will tend to overheat, She recomended to buy the normal one and I'm happy with the results. She gave some discounts on add-ons as well.

Tt's one crappy shop man...worked for them during an exhibition/roadshow some yrs back. Damn buggers...because they over-commit to the stock amount, promo. so stingy, end up left alot of stock. Buggers go back on their words, ate about 300 of my commission. Luckily I kept a copy of the receipt myself and went home to tally it, before going down to collect my commission. Ended up having to pay me. STB, CASE all no use one lah...if you ask me...most trustable to buy camera products in Lucky is Lord's Camera and Aik Seng.

Ok news time, yesterday got 3 girls from brasil came to my place to buy camera, and they 3 bought a motorola mobile from downstairs, only 2 girls out of 3 buying camera, the girl who isnt looking for a camera was opening her box to check out her phone.
I was in for a shock, the charger battery and other stuffs are there, but no phone.
God, she was crying really badly, i pity her, but its also her fault that she didn't check before leaving. She went back and tried to talk things through, as u guessed it, she came back with a phoneless box again. -
