I might consider UFOs as the possiblity, as there is the Roswell site, and the remains are rumoured to go there, and stored up there. Its highly likely that such things, including long range radar and scanning systems possible of detecting outer planets, communications, whatever, may be there too...

it's quite likely that you'll find the area filled with technology that's so cutting edge, people either think of it as alien or as well, nonsense.
Roswell was the one incident that lead to the area being though off as harbouring aliens. Information that has been declassfified since states that Roswell was simply some weather balloon project that allowed the US to spy of dear ole mother Russia.
it's quite likely that the area in question will house plenty of planes and be mostly underground. -

Anyway, the alien theories are highly debatable, and i dun even think they are true. I believed all this alien hype nonsense was created by some bunch of punks who had nothing to do, and just wanted to sensationalise things.
As for the base itself, I believe that what we ought to know we will know. If the USA governement hides it from the public at all cost then it is best being kept a mystery. After all, consparicy theories are nice to read and they keep the element of suprise and anticipation alive in all of us.

The only time when you can actually see how it looks like inside is when you explore the Nevada Desert using Google Earth. But still I believe that many stuff in Area 51 are highly censored considering its confidentiality.

Ah, haha, thanks, yeah its Groom Lake, hmm...
But its a test facility for aircraft as well, so maybe the ultimate secrecy of the place, esp when there might be MiGs inside and so on, foreign technologies...
