  Assembly Language is one of the most basic machine code for the Microprocessor. It is pure structured program....even more structured than C program. The file is usually in .asm.
  
  Mov a,b;
  Push
  Pop.
  
  What I am being taught, everything is based on the Mov command.
  But I have returned all knowledge to my uni lecturers liao.
  
  Which uni and course are you doing?
  What project you are doing?
  Serial or Parallel programming??
  
  Btw, I know some gals who are very good in Assembly Language during my time. So maybe you want to change your Thread Header.

  I'm also going for my Final Year soon.
  
  So I guess u need assemb lang to program some device to help u measure the heartbeat? Why not use C instead? Unless the concern for program size is really necessary

  i don't learn C b4.. i only learnt assembly... i know i need to mesaure the time between the pulses... for example: the time measured is 750ms.. so..
  1/T = f,
  1/750ms= 0.133
  
  therefore 0.133*60 = 7.98 BPM... Its something like this...

  I would suggest u going to the national library to get some books on basic assembly.
  
  i think there are multiplication functions. shud be able to find it online too...
