Thing involving free gifts are usually gimmicks... Just tell them negative answers and they would hang up.
Like the previous times that I encountered.
1. I told them I'm still in NS and they hung up on me...
2. I told them I'm single and not attached and they hung up on me... (think it sort of a scam to ask couple down and buy wedding package, the freebies was a free dinner for the couple at (I forgot which hotel liao))
Usually, if you just refuse nicely, they would try to push. Sometimes, I just hang up on them if I'm not in the mood. -
i have a personal encounter to share. My mother's best friend was working in one of these timeshare companies a few years back. She told my parents about a lobang. The company was offering an exclusive branded watch(Oskar Emil gent's watch) to those who turned up to hear their talks.
This was regardless of whether they bought or did not buy the products.Hence my parents went for the talk,endured 2hrs of brainwashing and psycho talk from the salespeople. However hard they tried, my parents firmly refused to buy. Cos in their minds, they were just there for the free watch.
Btw the watch is genuine,the market price was $1500. (not boasting but juz an example of when to strike when a "real" opportunity comes along )

actually not all are bad, there's some good ones out there too.
for example, i attend wif my sis this talk where they ask us to invest in properties in uk, but jus ask, not a must. After which they give us $80 tangs vouchers... wow.. damnned good le, where on earth will ppl give u $$$ to listen for 1-2 hours???
anyway u hv guessed it, i've spent e $80 vouchers, too bad canot go again, if not sure go! -

the best way is to take down the number and tell the police. let the police track down the company. if confirmed its a scam, this can cause them to be fined or maybe jailed.

A few years ago, they got one bah bok staff calling me. Said that I took part in lucky draw and they randomly picked my name to call. I asked what lucky draw. Then he said from the previous time one, but cannot name where or which supermarket I filled up the form.
So I said... I have not been shopping for months and I hardly go town. My work place was all the way in boon lay. So I was sure for many months I have not entered any lucky draw.
Then he quickly put down the phone and stopped calling me. Since then, I think I have changed my handphone number. So I stopped getting harassed. Then now, some idiot, lame, retard-born-of-a-bitch gave my number to them for them to once again harass me. Good job. I hope they all die faster.
