iPod Video QUESTION

Hi guys i need to know if the size of movie files become smaller once they are converted and put into the iPod? Normal movie files are at about 700mb. If they become smaller, how much space will they take up on the iPod? Thanks in advance.

Aye, they do, depending on quality and resolution, they can shrink up til 250mb, it varies.

I think that whenever you convert, certain information (quality) is lost. This is especially true for the MP3 format, where certain frequencies that are not detectable by the human ear are removed. I guess the same goes for MP4 format. Thus, size will be likely be reduced. you have to convert it to MP4 format with 320x240 with data rate of 700kbps, which means ur quality and file size will be downsized.
there is no way u can view the video by putting the 700mb file into the ipod cos the ipod cannot support the video of such a large bitrate, and it is most likely in .avi format anyway. -
zzz you go convert the file, then check.
