  I remember 1 guy told me, if a man can't earn S$1,000,000 before his 30, he is a loser.
  
  So, how many of u are 30 already earned S$1,000,000?

  Anyway if your friend's goal in life is to amass money then power to him. I prefer to spend my time doing things I find more fulfilling for me. I don't need S$1 million to know im happy.

  but if you manage your money carefully and invest wisely, one can certainly own assets and cash of 1 million plus by the time one retires .....
  
  the million dollar question is, of course .... whether 1 million is enough to retire on in Singapore .... (no, really, think about it ..... I recall one opinion piece by sumiko tan about half a decade ago .... she came up with the figure of 1.5 million to maintain her current lifestyle after retirement) ....
