Why malay wedding so noisy one?

let me tell you that i agree with the original poster.
i go to malay weddings and i feel like telling them are you people deaf?
how can you have the karaoke at full blast from morning till afternoon?
you go these kind of weddings, meet old friends also cannot talk, because cannot hear a damn thing.
sometimes i wonder what the hell is wrong with them?
for malay weddings the loudest noise should only be the kompangs, which accompany the bride and groom when they come and leave.
and don't get me started on those motorbikes. why? why the f**k must rev until like that? it really makes them look stupider than usual.
My point is, a Malay wedding should not be loud. All those noises can be managed, and are unnecessary excesses. -
People are selfish, TS. They like reving their cheap bikes, u like ranting about their noise. Its wedding dude, either take pain killers or crank ur HiFi up and close all ur windows(watch Transformers!). It'll be all over by the movie's end...

This one tradition? Almost all the wedding sure got alot of malays come with motor bike and on their engine loud loud. KNN.
And i am 100% sure they can lower their noise level.
Its just whether they want anot.
Its not just about tolerance.
Its that they clearly have the ability to lower their volume.
But they simply choose not to.
Thats the reason why i see no reason to tolerate
Chinese songkah also not so noisy.
Chinese opera and lion dance also not as noisy as them ah.

I have been to most malay weddings but not all are noisy. Even some chinese weddings that I been to are very noisy.
U will know what is noisy when u go to any motorcycle club member's wedding. Abt 100++ motorcyle engines full blast. -

I live in this HDB estate where there were 2 of the said ppl types. Yup...everytime they wanna ride out to the main road from the narrow snakey side road along the HDB blocks, these two jerks have to rev their engines out loud!!! They can simply ride out quietly and not disturb the whole neigbourhood, but they dun, instead they will rev and rev and rev and vroom loudly onto the main road. It's not as if they can ride out at speed to the main road!! The road is curvy and there's this huge bump to slow vehicles down and yet these jerks still wanna rev their engines. And they do it anytime of the day and night... and into very early morning too.....like at 1am----3am.. During these hour most ppl were in dreamland, than suddenly, these two jerks come vrooming loudly!!!! CNNCB!!!!!
And it's not like they're riding a Harley ...that I can understand....but some skimpy Jap scramblers. Granted, scramblers sure makes a lotta noise..but it all boils down to discipline and control of the engine. I have friends who also ride scrambler, they know when to ride quietly when inside HDB estates. Nowadays, I hardly hear these 2 jerks anymore. Perhaps they have met their maker.........hehehehehehe....whahahahaha!!!!!!!
Guess these jerks just wanna show off they owned scramblers.....MFCCB!!!! Maybe it's in their blood, when have something different, must make one hell of a noise...otherwise no one will notice their so called achievement.
Same when they're at the playground, must make the loudest noise to attract attention.......MFAH!!!! Like kick the trashbin, stomp loudly and to ensure ppl notice their stupid [acrobatic] acts and all. Others have been seen splashing unwanted drinks onto void deck walls and tables, park their motobikes there too, scribble junk onto the walls. Of course, they won't linger around to be caught, they'd flee!!
Once there were these other 2 jerks...they have nothing better to do than to set a part of the playground on fire. It was about close to 12 midnight. Luckily, there were ppl inside the RC centre nearby. So ppl started shoutin and managed to put out the fire b4 the fire trucks arrive!! Naturally, these 2 jerks ran off into the darkness, with some RC ppl hot after them [but did not managed to catch them] Police came but managed to catch air only!! 
Why are they so inconsederate and anti social is beyond my comprehension......
Btw.......not all Malays are like the above......I know and interact with Malays too. They are not like the above....Guess there's always some sore thumb somewhere in all the races....hmm.... -

Like Chinese funeral very quiet like that lor (and from what I've personally observed, chinese funerals are held more than malay weddings...more people die than people get married you see). I'm a Chinese. But I think we chinese people are way much noiser than malay people. Some more I don't think malay weddings make noises at night. It seems to me the noises are made only in the afternoon, when most people are at work. Chinese leh, until and after 11 pm still kaobeh-ing.
And TS, this is not the first time you make this kind of thread. Learn some basics on how to respect other people's custom and tradition okay.

actually from my experience, chinese funerals are quiet. while malay weddings are much louder and they are held quite often on sunday or saturday afternoons. its more the reving of engins and such i'm pissed at.
on a side note, i actually do think the weddings could be more considerate in the volumes and locations, afterall they are pretty much all day events. but in the name of racial harmony!!!!
