ya silicon casing..and +pouch..but my silicon casing is not those hard hard de lehz..is the ipod when l buy, they giv a rubber one, like nowadays those plastic cover for hp.. and the dropping distance is very short..from cpu to floor like that niaOriginally posted by Technomage:with silicon cover wont, it will reduce the crash damage by alot. i drop alot of times liao my ipod but haven spoil. but if u really suay i dunno riaoz.....
What's the model of your iPod? Is it the 5th-gen iPod Video 30GB/60GB or the 1st-gen/2nd-gen iPod Nano? If it's iPod Nano most probably won't spoil because inside absolutely no moving parts..unlike the video iPod..the video iPod has a mini hard-disk inside and hard-disk has moving parts like a needle reading the magnetic discs..so if it's a iPod video that you dropped, if unlucky then will damage the hard-disk and the whole hard-disk gone liao..Originally posted by xShevchenkox:still can wrk la...but l scare scare lehz...later inside thing spoilt or wad

yea..haha, anyway is my 1st time drop ..from cpu to floor..a very short distance..ya, silicon case + the pouch oso.Originally posted by alleggerita:Haha..if it's an iPod Nano plus got silicon case then 99% confirm safe..haha..no moving parts inside ma..so should be no problem..
Last time I saw a video where they tested the iPod Nano..they dropped it from standing height, rode a bike and dropped it, drove a car at 15km/h and dropped it out of the window and at the end, as a kind of finale, drove a car over it!
Surprisingly, the Nano was still playing music even after being drove over..only the screen and scroll wheel spoilt..haha..![]()

His is iPod Nano..so confirm no hard-disk problem..in fact given the fact that the iPod Nano has no internal moving parts and his ipod was in a silicon skin plus pouch, there should absolutely be no damage..so well insulated..some more the height which it dropped not very great also..Originally posted by eagle:Bring to warranty claim got some problem with hard disk lor...
