bad memory

I realized I have trouble remembering, in fact completely forget what I tell other people. I usually forget that I have told someone about something, and end up telling it to them again and they go like "oh yeah you told me already", so paiseh.
It's only what I tell other people. I have perfect memory when it comes to what I have to do, what I have been told or what I have read/seen/watched.
Is this weird? Like is there a specific name for this? -

Reshuffle your priorities. Not that u have a bad memory, u just don't remember things which u don't place much importance on. When you tell someone something, it's not because u have a purpose... u just blab. So u won't associate this person with what you just said. When you don't put a purpose to it, you'll forget. It's a habit.

I can jolly well tell you that I will forget where I placed my specs after taking it out.
