Just wanna share something...
My sir was talking about terrorism to my squad and asked us why Singapore can't afford a terrorist attack (touch wood)...
My sqd gave many different answers like people is Singapore's most precious resource, our economy is important, we are a trading hub to SEA, our country is small so big impact, etc... my sir said all wrong... it took another 5 to 10 more minutes of thinking before someone said that it might disrupt Singapore's racial and religious harmony...
I interpret that moment as a very good thing... it seems that racial or religious profiling is way deep in the back of everybody's mind that it takes quite a while before someone realize its a possibility... and it seems that Singaporeans understand that muslim =/= terrorist

My thought is that Islam promote peace and kindness.
Just that some people misinterpret the Quran and become extremists. Or maybe they use the name of Islam for their own personal sake.

Well I personally feels that Singapore's racial and religious harmony is superficial. We were surpress by the freedom of speech act.
