I have a wisdom tooth in the back of my mouth, it used to cause me hurt and pain but after I visited the dentist, the problem was solved without having to undergo an expensive operation to remove the tooth.
The dentist did an x-ray and she realize that it was either laying on top of my nerve or infront of it ( the tooth is bent inside the gum ). Since X-ray could't tell whether it was on the nerve or not, she suggested that she would help me drill off parts of the tooth so it would not cause any pain. If I had choosen to remove it and if it really lies on top of my nerve, my lower jaw could go numb for an indefinite amount of time.
So if the tooth cause you pain, go see a dentist and ask for a solution, if not, you can choose to leave it alone.

It depends really
1st of all, your jaw must be wide? long? enogh to accomodate the new tooth and not mess up the arrangement of the pre-existing teeth.
2nd, the tooth must be growing correctly, ie straight Up for lower jaw, or Down for upper Jaw
If not, especially if its growing sideways into the side of ur pre-existing molars, damn chia lat... They call this impacted wisdom teeth, and SHOULD be extracted.
In the case of impacted wisdom teeth, it will be surgically removed, which means the dentist jabs you with anesthetics in the gum, then cuts/saws the tooth into pieces to remove... dun worry, only the anesthetic jabbing hurts... and also once it wears off after about 2hrs... But thats why God created pain-killers!! damn effective. -
