I just refered a friend of mine whom I got to know from Banquet to work in a Restaurant.
He was supposed to report for work this morning, but when I checked the progress of the work with him via MSN just now (midight) than he told me that he didn't report to work thanks to he being over-slept
I was like Blur..
I refer he coz he's my fren (at least i consider him as my fren, not colleague)
But when he woke up late at 12pm (reporting time to work is 11am) he should have the manners and be apologetic to send me a SMS informing me that he can't turn up for the work.
But he didn't.
When I told him that his lack of responsibility will affect my creditability and their (manager/ full-timers of the restaurant) perspective of me, he showed no guilt nor even say sorry.
He even request that I refer him to a 6-star hotel..when he ruin my image in my long-term part time restaurant..
When i said no, and request that he improve himself, he just immediately sign out..
I am thinking, how many such friends/colleagues have you guys came across like this?
Only thinking for themselves and not caring for others?

That's why I don't believe in internal job recommendations, makes you a sitting duck if something goes wrong.
