MediaCrop TV Shows

I started using SCV Cable a few years ago and since then I almost stop watching TV shows on the standard channels. Recently, when I moved house and had to wait for my new address to connected to my SCV, so I had to bear with just watching those MediaCrop's shits stuff on TV. I can help but to comment that the shows are craps especially local productions of MediaCrop! Nothing is able to interest me at all.
I wonder if it's just me or generally people thinks the same? -

Just wondering what happen to all the good shows in the past.
There were those that educate young ones about the history of Singapore and at the same time entertain the adults good story.
I may be "Out-dated", but that's what i enjoyed when I was younger.
Now I only watch SCV Cable TV. Of course there are also crappy stuff once awhile there, but at least you have other better choices than MediaCrop.
Well, I am not somebody good at creating interesting and educational programs for MediaCrop. But I believe MediaCrop has to do something about it pa!
If not, I think their programs will be entertaining only Aunties, Uncles, Ah gong and Ah ma! And no one else will be getting any educational values! -

so u finally see the singapore talents. i think if the channel 8 submit their plot or script to HongKong TVB. every single one will be rejected.

But some of the talents in Mediacorps are from Hong Kong
So the moral of the story is not all talents from Hong Kong are good or as good as those still stayed in Hong Kong
So Mediacorps got second class talents

it has some nice ones...but only once in a blue moon...when a stroke of genius strikes the scriptwriters. -

I don't know if these ppl come from HK or where. Or if they are good or not.
All I see is crap shows and lousy acting(Some Artists Only!).
I also agreed that there are not so bad programmes on TV, but these are not local productions.
We used to see good local productions on the TV. Where are they now?
Well, I guess I am being choosy. But every household needs to pay for a TV License to be able to watch MediaCrop's Shows. So why can't we demand for a better standard?
Make us pay, must watch TV Commercial plus no good shows.

The problem with mediacrap's shows are not just abt the scripts but also the professionalism of the productions.
For example.
I remember a show set during in Shang-Zhou dynasty, and this chap happen to carry poison powder wrapped in yellow paper.
Excuses me, paper's not invented then, let alone coloured paper.
I was like very duhed... -
Mediacorp shows may be acted by local actors and actresses, produced in SG, but a lot of the work behind the scenes are all outsourced. Scripts, post-production, etc.
Don't expect much from outsourced work. This is what you get from saving costs. -

Mediacorpse like the ruling government of singaproe only good at making $$$. Just look at those competition shows they earn so much from the voting from viewers. Totally agree with most of you.. I don't watch mediacorp dramas nowadays.. Really can't stand it. Maybe I'm a too particular about the language they speak. To me, I find that there are actually quite a number trying or labouring to speak very fluent Mandarin, which makes the whole acting very unnatural to me. I rather they speak in a way they are used to. Not too good, but at least natural. But I'm sure the govt won't allow that kind of Mandarin to be spoken. I rather they go with dubbing. This is very individual though.. To me, I can't stand it. As for the script wise, the points have been brought up which I agree.

A lot of people complaining about them via internet, newspaper, magazine, forums, etc etc etc
But why they so thick-skinned and choose not to listen to us, the audience?
Why they act like an ostrich, hide their head under the sand and pretend everything is good and nothing bad has happened
In addition, "rob" 110 bucks from us every year

I think you are too shallow to know the hard work behind production line.
When you are happily sleeping your ass off at 3am in the morning. Some people are manning the channel broadcasting playlist just to make sure content gets to the audience.
