crash represent buying opportunities....just pick up BengKuang Marine owned by labroy marine now delisted after Dubai Drydock bought over..guess BengKuang will move after release of final year end results...interim >100%jump.Bought recently 27.5 to 28cts for long term hold.Previously bought 100lots Labroy when it was 57cts and holding till $2.80 and sold open mkt after news of takeover.Expect bengkuang to be in saame cateogry just like pan united also take over by Dubai...which is flushed with petrol dollars...that's my personal view..oinvest at your own riskk

If the crash is due to a short term problem, yes, crash is a buying opportunity.
If you are are talking about crash due to possible recession... then it is not wise to buy on a crash.
It is better to buy when the market is on an uptrend...
In an uptrend, then most things will go up and the stock you choose will have a higher chance of moving up.
In a downtrend (like now) then the chances of the stock you pick going up (not impossible) are less and also, if it goes up, then it will tend to come back down.
In an uptrend, even if it comes down, it will have a good chance of going back up.
I am still waiting for the right season to buy. Like, it is easily to find rainy days during the monsoon season than it is during the dry season. Sure, during the dry season, sometimes it rains but the chances are less.
When it is the wrong season to buy (like now), you keep your cash and wait for the right season or the chances of losing money is higher than the chances of making money.
You might say, 'buy' for long term so even if it goes down, never mind, just wait. Look at Ho Jinx buying Barclays in July when the sub-prime crisis exploded.
She can buy many more shares with that amount of money compared to when she bought in July. That Ho Jinx is a gambler and not an investor. You should be an investor, wait for the right season and not be a gambler and hope to pick the right stock in the wrong season. -

Cut your debts, get a second job to supplement your income, save up and wait
