BTW I am rather proud of the Thai Certificate. I can go to Thailand took an exam in Thai and obtain a certificate....

well first of all, my mistake about the article NOT being in the first page. Point taken. You are right in that instance.....
your certificate IS a certificate of attendance.... anyone can get their Thai friends for a translation - not too difficult is it... ? I actually got a Thai colleague to translate that.... so go figure!
whether there is a test at the end of it or not, who cares..... most courses have a test at the end - and whether one passes or failed may not have mattered that much.
