suppose there is a tower with a lamp which produces substantial heat on it. there are 3 switches, A B And C. one of them turns the lamp on. You cannot see the light on the top of the tower. you can only switch each switch on once. you can go up to check the lamp once. how would you determine which switch turns the lamp on?

Leave one switch off, switch one on for 5 minutes and then turn it off, and keep the last one on. If the light is off it's the first switch that controls it, if it's off but warm it's the second, and if it's on it's the last switch.
