Try to cut down slowly on your food consumption (eat only 3/4 of your usual meal, then cut down to 1/2), drink only mineral or plain water.
Fight your hunger by exercising in a gym.
Fight your mindset by visiting a hospital and see for yourself how much those people with weight or knee cap problem are suffering. Imagine you being one of them and got to suffer the consequences if you give up.
All other alternatives will give you side effects, so stay focus and remember that weight loss should be a slow and stable drop instead of a sudden drop. A sudden drop will only means you got some other problems and the weight will bounce back suddenly as well once you slack...
