listed few courses under SPAE , and when i went back to check, it seems like np deleted the site. i want to know whther is it still going on? coz i want a course in np.

they said OH, its not official, MOE havent said its official
SO WTF okays,
if it is not official yet, dun fking put up the site,
giving ppl false hope.

I wrote to MOE and Ngee Ann Poly replied me.
This is my email to them:
Hi. I am XXX who took my A Levels in year 2006, but couldn't get admitted to local universities as I were told that my grades did not meet their cut-off points for all their undergraduate courses.
In the month of July, I was aware of the Special Polytechnic Admission Exercise(SPAE) that allowed A Level graduates who couldn't find a place in local universities to take up local polytechnic courses. At that, I was thrilled to be given a second chance to study. I was working part-time then and I had everything planned out.
However, about 1 week before the supposed application date(11th August 2007), I went to visit websites of local polytechnics and I was shocked and dismayed to find out that the pages containing information on SPAE gone.
I called up Ngee Ann Polytechnic, as I was very interested in their Molecular Biotechnology course and was told to wait for an official date for the application. I asked if he could give an approximate date but was bluntly told to wait for the news.
Therefore, I am still waiting for the news. Is the SPAE exercise still going to be implemented? I yearn to study again, seeing my friends going off to local universities.
I hope I could receive a reply as soon as possible. I can only take further actions on my future until then.

The poly is now launching the 'A' level intake application in late January under the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE)at http://www.np.edu.sg/aa/dae.html. Successful applicants will commence course in April 2008.
If you meet the entry requirements, we invite you to apply under the DAE. Selection is based on academic merit and is subject to vacancies available.
We wish you success in your academic pursuits and thank you for your interest in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

i thought a level holders apply under dae or the normal jae. -
if u would have studied hard enough and get into a local university then u would not be doing all these so troulesome already lolz.

If you have enrolled after being offered a place in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and you need to withdraw after enrolment, you should notify us before start of the academic term and a refund of all fees minus $50 admin charge can be arranged. However, withdrawal after term starts will not be entitled to fee refund, should the University inform you in May/ June.
