  but i still don really understand how to count .
  
  eg, 171 to ft and inches is : 5'7" for what people told me.
  
  so i use the method they taught me,
  
  171 / 2.54 i get 67.323
  
  den divide it by 12 .
  
  i got something closer to 5'6 den 5'7 leh. how they make it to 5'7. dun understand

  theres 12 inch in 1 feet
  so X'1 is actually X.083

  the answer you get is 5.6 feet, not 5'- 6".....6/10ths of 12 inches is 7 inches+....therefore 171cm = 5 ft- 7in
