Person believed to have fallen onto train tracks
A person is believed to have fallen onto the train tracks along the East-West line, near Tampines MRT station, said a witness.
The westbound train was travelling from Boon Lay to Pasir Ris.
A witness at the scene told straitstimes.com that authorities are now trying to recover the body, which is believed to be underneath the train.
The incident caused a disruption in service along the East-West line. The westbound service has also been suspended.
The victim's gender and other information are not confirmed as yet.

no wonder just now at around 7.05, when i alighted at boonlay, the mrt sign says -- trains heading towards pasir ris are temporary suspended or something

I was heading to Tampines this evening and yes the train from Tampines to Pasir Ris was halted to do "an accident" at Tampines station. When I arived the train on opposite track had been halted halfway in the station and the area was cordoned off, as well as civil defence officers all around the area.

I reached tampines at 745pm, the area still cordoned off..
And those morgue body-collecters (in orange vest) are lingering around with the policemen..I wonder if the body has been recovered or not.. -
this one ok la. yesterday about 10.30 at bishan mrt, the train stopped and they annouce that someone pressed the alarms and they are investigating lol

the bishan one must be itchy hand. but the tampines one hai.. poor person.. if really victimized the one that accidently/intentially push one ah regret for life.

It's sad, always sad when such a tragic event happened especially for the loved ones.
My sympathy for them & I hope everyone affected by the tragedy will slowly & eventually come to terms with it & continue with their lives.
