- Chinatown during chinese festivals. Without the festivals, the place reaaaally screams fake.... pop by the Indian temple nearby, its worth a look, also has some interesting architecture .. club street is worth a look at night
- The area around the Arab Street mosque. Also excellent for hanging out at night, I love Al Tazzag @ Haji Lane, can smoke Shisha, gorge on mouth-watering dips n kebabs, and sit & chat at 1 of the outdoor tables along the 2 storey shophouses.. beaut!
- Esplanade/One fullerton area at night (esp when they have events like National day). One Fullerton has the Merlion.
+
- Fullerton hotel / Singapore River / Boat Quay belt for the unique architecture and statues (Sir Raffles, Botero's sculptures).. The area has a very romantic atmosphere in the evenings, check out Boat Quay's nightlife, also can consider Fullerton's Town Restaurant (al-fresco) for a lovely dinner by the River.
- Clarke Quay / Mohd Sultan / Robertson Quay area is also pretty interesting, but mostly only has dining / drinking / clubbing spots.
- Lau Pa Sat for the food and architecture. Great BBQ stingray n satay found here

- East Coast Park, they have a cable water ski park, water sports, great seafood restaurants.. can consider bringing them around Joo Chiat for food too if they're up for it.
- MacRitchie Reservoir, an interesting alternative to the zoo. Warn them not to display plastic bags / food in front of the monkeys though.
Other than that, can't think of much else a tourist would find interesting.. :p
