  Some years ago, I when for a Aust trip fo 10 days.... on the 7 day onwards... me & my friend was suffering from Chili withdrawn problem.

  Same here, I was proud about Singapore when I was a kid. But these days, I have grown up and realised the kind of Singapore we live in and the hypocrisies surrounding the ruling elite.
  
  I guess sometime somehow, we have to stop building castles (dreaming) in the air and return to terra firma (reality).

  But to return to your so call terra firma...we have to go back to early days when we belong to the British and also part of malaysia states. I will rather build castles and live and let live.

  when i read yesterday's TODAY, about the family who juz became Singapore PR recently.. they were so excited about celebrating National Day etc..
  
  i really dun understand what's the excitement about..
  
  i get very sick already.. if one day i can get outta here for good, i definitely will.

  saving up hard and reading up so that i could leave singapore...i dun feel anything special being a singaporean when my govt is more pro-foreign-talent...if i'm treated like second class citizen in my own country, then why stay? it's the sad truth, but it's the truth.

  right on.. we distinguished ourselves away from PRCs. so when the aussies ask if im chinese (usually refer to where u are from), i will tell them that im singaporean.
  
  yeah, singapore generally as a whole has better reputation than the rest, usually our grasp of english language is far superior as compared to others. but there are some PRCs that try to pass themselves off as singaporeans. i catch one or 2 liao.

  I look at the speech and behaviour of the people around me and the things that they comment on, and think to myself that these aren't the people I want to be associated with.

  If I was 'vacationing' in a 3 world country, probably yes. Love the food here maybe because I haven't tried many kinds of food yet. Think racism levels here can tahan because I rarely travel out of Singapore.

  And I suppose you're not going to provide a reason why you are so sick of Singapore?
