How does one insert an image in here, from his home pc?

u will never b able to upload it from your computer..

You have to upload to a free server, then press [ img ] button twice, and copy and paste the link in between the [ img ] [ /img ]

i know most ppl will say google is your fren.. but i will be ur fren for now
first, go to imageshack.us
then upload the pic.. after that, copy the 'Direct Image' link
go to a forum and click reply. type [img][/img]
you are done
