Those people with paddles

  Yeah I've been seeing a lot of people walking around Orchard and some shopping malls with what seems to be paddles for kayaking or canoeing or something. Strange thing is they're carrying them around shopping malls and on the sidewalks and most of the time they aren't even in boardies or anything. You guys know what I'm talking about? Wtf is up with that?
