Do Not Discuss The Faults Of Others

Religions always preach that we should forgive one another and we must not discuss the faults of others. What is your views on this?(Religions say we must look at our own faults first and pity others.)

Personally, i don't like to jump on speculation, esp faults of others. We probably do not really have real understanding and judge people based on our own perception. Sometime we should seek to understand, rather than being overly-judgmental. Constructive criticism is perfectly fine.
Anyway, no one is perfect, even if they make a mistake or break a law, we shouldn't label them as criminal forever. Cos even criminals are kind to their loved ones.
I feel that there is nothing wrong discussing faults of others but then if it is for malicious intention, then it is rather wrong.
Sometime, discussing faults of others does not represent a missing piece of the puzzle.. it could probably mislead people. -

If the aim is to correct or provide constructive criticism, then its ok. Gossip is not.

i think the need here is balance. u cannot use this "be tolerant" theory to sweep obvious problems under the carpet.
