I am very amateur in terms of postings although been following all the forums here for a while.
I thought this is worth sharing...
I went for my dental checkup at clementi ave 2 around the estate of blk 35x. as I was crossing the street behind the hdb blocks (where there are parking lots), a van sped and approached me and the driver called out: lao shiung...i am new to the area, my first response was: i don't know the area well, don't ask me for directions.
then come the best part: the driver told me he is deliverying Home Theather System and he brought one extra set. want to give out for free so that he can go home (it was around 6++pm).i told him it's ok, not interested (because it is bloody dodgy). the driver said: free also don't want? you sure bor? to avoid further Q&A, i just walked away while saying...not interested plus i don't live around there, hence would be very troublesome for me.
the driver's response was: where do you live, i give you a lift home and i will give you the free home theater set. i was dumbfounded. but nevertheless i thank him and tell him that i am late for dental appointment.
very very dodgy and suspicious. -

If he send to ur place install den u happy, then he will ask for a "small" installation and delivery fee, usually far more den wat the set is worth.
