Thought of family without kids but then later too late then kids i will be old n dying before he even gets married. he he.. -
I don't think I intend to have kids leh, life is going to be very difficult for them in the future... I don't think they can even afford to have their own HDB flats in the future... Somemore having my gf already super high maintenance, I very scared to have another 1-2 person to yang, still gotta yang my parents somemore.

Hi there,
I just introduce myself as a father of 2. Now,whether having children will bring you more happiness or fulfillment in life is actually quite personal. It depends largely on your goals and belief in life.
Family life has been great for me and I've always felt that they were my happier part of my lives. The energy, sacrifices placed were more filled with purpose than what I do at work. The money earned also seemed to have more purpose in them rather than just gathering them for riches and spent for personal satisfaction. With the sacrifices and tons of energy and some money I've spent on my children, I could feel the importance and roles I play in the family which can be demanding and even overwhelming at times. But it beats idling at home or a less purposeful life at home just facing my wife or slogging my life just for work.
Building a family in S'pore is of course expensive but it all boils down to living within our means. A house, for me, whether it is a bungalow or a simple HDB flat is only warm because of the people inside. A house is also only warm because I have help to make it to be. Housework has to be done, bills have to be paid, babies have to be fed and bathed, children has to be played with and discipline, rules have to be worked out together, consolation and encouragement have to be given, mess have to cleared, quarrels have to be settled, habits have to be changed, relaxation and breaks have to be taken, compromise have to be given, ....
Making a family work is definitely not easy and often I think harder than work which I guess is why some ppl say it is better stay in the office to work than face the family at home. In any case, whether at work or family, life will be hard but life as I take it to be will always be easier whenever there are my family who are close to me and will stand by me. -

I remember my aunt plays happy family since i was very young, at that time, i was a toddler and do not know what they were playing. But i knew that in order to make a happy family, you need to have the mama, papa, jie jie and kor kor. i think many pple today is more concern of monetary matter instead of joys when coming to having kids.
it just comes down to how much u can handle. u dun just earn 1500 per month, den pay monthly installment to ur HDB flat and a BMW car den complain that, "oh, i hav no money to raise kids, so ok, i must not hav kids because i hav no money left" i guess some pple are like dat.
at the end of the day, it just comes to ur thinking. incentives to hav babies will work but ultimately, thinkings must change.
