Polyclinic #&^&^#$*

  my neighbourhood de polyclinic always appear on tv de. known for its long queue. =\
  
  my parents said they have no incentives in seeing more patients, unlike GP, who are motivated by profits. However, due to the much subsided health care fees, many tend to turn to polyclinics rather than GP. Therefore, to attract customers, GP has to have better services..=X non-price strategies...^^ (econs)

  my gf went polyclinic 3 times than cured her sore throat..
  
  1) gave her panadol nia... than i take care of her.. fever keep going up down
  2) second time she complain that she throat very pain than she ask for antibitoics... the doctor didnt give her say not serious no need in the end we left with more panadol , vitatminc pills , gargle water
  
  3) Finally she asked for antibiotics... eat le antibiotics.. within 2 3 days well liao.....
  
  in the end spend in polyclinic de money = see family doctor

  I feel that it is because of people abusing the system that cause overcrowding.
  
  In my opinion, there are only 3 reason to see polyclinic dr
  
  1. Get medicine.
  2. Get mc
  3. get subsidised referral letter to hospital.
  
  So to save time, state what u want
  
  History
  Physical Examination
  Investigation
  treatment
  
  State what is bothering u most
  any associated complaints
  
  eg
  fever with cough likely upper respiratory tract infection
  prolonged fever with rash, bodyache likely dengue
  
  So advice to all
  know what is bothering u and give a proper history
  
  Take care

  In morning dr can see up to 50 pt
  in afternoon can see about 20+ pt
  
  so they are real tied for time
  
  Very sad to be a dr especially in polyclinic

  army or not, the patients shouldn't be stereotyped. army guys can be seriously ill too, read the newspapers about the recruit who passed away from allergy to malarial pills...
