still looking for jobs after much months. has a recoginsed engine degree.
however, i feel that prospect of working for others is not good and that its better to do my own business, though i dunno what i want to do and have little experience in business.
study some business modules before in uni. pls advise. -

Working for companies as engineers wont make u rich. Normal engineers are just technicans but with nicer title, less manuel but more paper works.
It is good to venture into business once u have the necessary experince and sufficient capital.

yes but u need a very concrete background and experience in business. Furthermore, doing business is risky and there's alot of competition everywhere. Good luck.

It really all depends on whether you aspire to be your own boss or not. Most business owners that I've talked to started out from a humble beginning. They love the control over their own profits and losses, whereas a salary based individual has totally no control over their rise or fall of their income. But of course, having a salary means that as long as you don't screw up, not corrupt and always on time for work, the money is yours.
Well, in both aspects, they do provide income, but the question of quality time which I believe you are interested in. Everything concerning a salary based worker is always at the mercy of the management,eg salary,bonus,leave and etc. But being your own boss is different, you schedule your own time,leave,how much income you want really all depends on you.
As for me, I'd love to have both time and money, and this is only possible if you work out your business plan well enough to enjoy both the former and latter. No risk , No gain . Whichever path you choose, I wish you all the best ! -
Working for others is damn easiest thing to do. Just get up, have a cuppa, take a bus, reach workplace, show your face, pretend to be busy, then do craps, chit-chats, tea-break, lunch-break, followed by coffee-break, then loo-break, then quitting time. End of month collect pay and grumble money no enough. But still can blanja gf and sucker friends. No worry about paying workers, cpf, gahmen, rent, suppliers, and customers who don't pay.

i went to an interview recently and if they want me, i will probably give up my enterpreneur plan for the moment.
hence, i am not sure whether i wish the interview is successful or not.
i not risk type when doing business. i plan to do those business with lower risk and accept maybe lower return. i have alot of research to do to understand the money world. I have visited enterprise website in the internet for singapore already.
i have a number of possible ideas, one including writing books. Even if writing books require money to do publishing bah. Or creating some niche products or services to sell to people.
