Nokia care, really?

nokia 6280 has been known for some of its flaws. one of them being phone restarts while playing mp3.
during the first year warranty, none of the latest firmware (version 3.x) was known to fix this problem.
lately, i was told that version 6.x is out and is a lot stable and eagarly took my phone down to nokia care center. but because my phone is no longer under warranty, it will cost me S$26.
i took the phone back.
personally, i think its quite ridiculous given that none of the firmwares were available when my warranty is valid. and finally when they release it, they wanna charge me for it.
just felt being penalized for their incompetence to stabilise the firmware fast enough.
has been a die-hard nokia user. perhaps its time to switch brand. -
you can DIY yourself by updating the firmware online....

6280 was the most problematic phone for Nokia at launch, to date.

the phone got what problem, Nokia automatically ask to "software upgrade" without even evaluating the problem

I am using this phone.
One of the most irritating problems is the restriction code thing.

if i am not wrong, nokia 6280 oso can...you need to download the software and detect la.... upgrade properly and dun get a dead phone can liao. -

.. and a lot more other users are experiencing problem with this phone.
unlike me, those who bought theirs late should get everything fixed.
i took for granted that updating of firmware is effortless, and i wont have much hassle in updating my firmware anytime.
speak of batt. i can have it full bar in the morning and have it dropped to one bar in the evening. and yeah, the warranty has expired. -
the few nokia fones i used over the past years all seems to come with this wonderful "hang" or "auto restart" function....
does not happen often but it does scare me sometimes.....
when hang until jialart jialart press the power button oso no use...gotta remove batt..... -
hanor hanor, the reason why they came up with the 6288 is coz aiyah you know why lar.

1 of the phone that i've used, Nokia 6020, when it comes to hang, damm irritating.. Have to remove the batt..

My Nokia phone spoilt after 3mths i started using it.
It will switch off automatcially very often.
I took it to repair at the Nokia there luh.
When i took back the phone,its STILL THE SAME. i asked the person and they said that it was okay then. And that they've already repaired it.

I used to be a diehard fan of Nokia too..but after experiencing their horribly unreliable phone and their Nokia Care-less Centre, I have decided to change brand..
Changed to Samsung's SGH-X820..until now working perfectly fine..don't even need to bring it down to it's Service Centre ONCE.. -
