Medical Dr and Dr

Do you find it confusing? as in when u 1st heard a person salutation, you have the impression that he/she is a medical doctor but in actual fact he/she got doctorate in some academic studies.
do u feel they should have a different title somehow?

Whenever he has to fill up a form, he's always quick to circle Dr. But that's common. On his email signature, he states every single qualification he got. Nevermind....
When he goes to a seminar and the salutation beside his name says Mr., he cancels it and change it to Dr.

When people have such a high education, of course they want others to know abt it. Calling one title means Respect.
Just like one of my Facilitator, he doesn't like people to call his title. But I still call him with his title. -

Different people have different opinions and styles abt title calling. For me, if I dun know their title, I just address them as Prof.
