shatec u have to go to sch everyday... full day!Originally posted by icyboiz:if u choose mdis , u must really commit, i heard in mdis they are really really low rest days.
even if get the adv dip liao. it's considered half-half. not here not there. their adv dip are equal to a 1st year degree course. general stuff nia. im currently still taking an adv dip in mass comm there.Originally posted by Dead_Man_Inc:if choose mdis, after getting their diploma, still must go advanced diploma, if not not really recgonise.
correct me if i'm wrong![]()
Hmmm... in this case, Shatec seems to be a better choice since at the end of the day, i still have to commit the same time and money, and i think shatec's dip is still more powerful then MDIS adv dip right?Originally posted by Unknown_X:even if get the adv dip liao. it's considered half-half. not here not there. their adv dip are equal to a 1st year degree course. general stuff nia. im currently still taking an adv dip in mass comm there.
it's a strategy to make u stick to them. unless u take the adv dip for credits and switch to another uni.
as for rest days, none. minus public hols or when the lecturer isnt free. there's abt 1 week of rest b4 exams. but doubt anyone will use it to rest.
My current job is still fun, but i tot of taking an extra dip while I'm still young to back up my rice bowl in future lol...Originally posted by popikachu:You don't like your current job?

there is no such thing as a more powerful diploma...Originally posted by Delphian:Hmmm... in this case, Shatec seems to be a better choice since at the end of the day, i still have to commit the same time and money, and i think shatec's dip is still more powerful then MDIS adv dip right?
tat is y end of the day, it goes to yr goal in life...Originally posted by ispyyy:there is no such thing as a more powerful diploma...
only have diploma tat is recognised ,or not???
if u r looking for a job, they look at yr years of experience ... rather than if it is a good insitution... But 3 yrs for shatec is really very long... it is equavalent to years of getting a degree... And from yr age, getting into a degree course is not very difficult if u have the years of experience and the previous qualification...
x2. i think mdis is more general. somehow, seems that when u mention priv institute. mdis does come to mind, although not 100% of the time.Originally posted by :Ask yourself what career plans you have in the future for yourself: do you plan to work in the hotel industry or something else?
If your plan is to be employed within the hotel industry, SHATEC should be your course of choice. If you don't plan to work in the hotel industry, you may want to try MDIS as it is more general and you can choose to specialise later........
U my junior...me also in Mass Comms, but now degree already and graduating next may. If u want, can sell my textbooks to u cheap cheap.Originally posted by Unknown_X:x2. i think mdis is more general. somehow, seems that when u mention priv institute. mdis does come to mind, although not 100% of the time.
mdis is quite textbook based too. can be quite sian at times.
i still considering whether to take degree with mdis anot. if i really got take, maybe will contact u again. free time on hand? serious? im more interested in whether can u send my yr adv dip projects for reference. lolOriginally posted by nanren4ever:U my junior...me also in Mass Comms, but now degree already and graduating next may. That's something my class and a few other classes have raised up against.
Anyway, to TS, MDIS Tourism just started this year for your info. For me personally, if I were 2 choose, i would choose shatec since it is more established in terms of the course being offered for many years already. To go to MDIS as one of the first few batches in the tourism and hotel management may not be good since everything is still new, and there's a risk that you people may be the "guniea pigs" for them to try out something new.
Just my own opinion. If SIM have these type of courses, I would recommend u go there instead.
