i agree with deathbait too, shld get a change of clothing, esp if u got time after ur activity, u can at least try to air ur clothings so they wun stink so much later...Originally posted by deathbait:next time just bring a change of clothing if you anticipate a sweaty day
not that the lady's absolutely justified in tell you you're stinking up the train, but friends who have spent a significant amount of time around you(and thus have already adjusted to your stench)aren't a good indicator of how badly you smell.
The sense of smell is the worst sense we have. Ever notice how when you walk into KFC you can smell the aroma, but 5 mins after you're inside, you hardly notice it anymore?
I agree. I'm not saying that BO is acceptable in public places but what right does she have to tell him off? By doing so, it still won't solve the problem (the fact that his BO won't disappear just like that). She could simply walk away from him and find another place in the train to avoid his BO. It's that simple.Originally posted by mochou:you stepped on her tail when you walked pass her? That's a very mean thing that she did to you.
it's not inconsiderate, i think she needs some medical attention on her mental health.
Imagine there's a guy who's really smelly in MRT, so smelly that you can smell him 10meters away, what can you do? scold that guy for sweating too much? I bet any normal ppl will not do anything to the guy, if you cant stand it, walk away. This is a public place, there's no rules saying that "Passenger who are too smelly are not allowed to board the train". Other has no right to attempt to ask him to go away.
You take bus in serangoon and got 20 bangladesh worker board the bus, you feel they are smelly, you scold them? TS, if what you said is really true, that lady really abit crazy.
Are u a ger or boi? Because if you are a ger, nobody will scold you...Originally posted by xVal:Well im quite frustrated and upset so here is my story.
This happened to me today , so angry !!
I finished my NCC and took the MRT heading for home , the MRT was filled with people(not sardine packed but quite a amount)
As i was perspiring and have a fainty smell of body odour released from my body due to the work amount i have , being considerate i went to the back of the MRT to prevent polluting the air-conditioned transport so much.
But out of kindness , i get a crapload of scolding.
A mid-30 aged office lady actually came up to ME despite being at the back and loudly said that i STINK , which i felt quite ashamed at that point of time with everyone looking at me.
Like , how could she actually SMELL that tainty-bit of 'fragrance' ? She was like 10 metres away from me , i asked my friend if i really stink , and they said only if their close to me.
It was obvious she was ticking me off for no reason , what kind of world is this ? If the lady has too much stress , can't she go listen to music and calm down ? Why must come find me and give me a piece of her mind ? Is she insane ?
I assume 'Chit Chat' is opened for general discussions , so forumers come and discuss about this act of inconsideration or even share your own experience!
Oh and hi everyone , im new so hope i don't post in the wrong section
...and bonk her....Originally posted by thoreldan:should send in one platoon of chao recruits to surround her
den if u face a grp of NSFs how?Originally posted by y33bas:usually for NCC activities..we go home in big groups so even if we are smelly..we're intimidating..anybody who wants to scold us will get the crap out of NCC cadets..lolx
erm wad time ah bbb..cos i oso today, infact everday alight at tanjong pagarOriginally posted by browniebaobao:it annoys me when the train is too packed, and ple want to alight, yet those in standing at the door refuse to give way.
it happened few times yday..
morning i was in train, got this couple boarded, and they were v lovey dovey.. the guy (actually duno guy or girl.. coz kind of long hair for a guy.. and he put on make up.. so blardy obvious) and the gf with spikey hair and tail behind.. standing at the door.. door opened at outram, tanjong pagar during the peak hours, they juz stood there, refused to move, continued with their sweet whispers, ple could not go in/go out. v inconsiderate lor! i stared at both of them to show my displeasure. That happened in the morning when i was rushing to work.
then evening time, usually at outram and tiong bahru station will have many ple boarding. so for the next few stations it will be packed like sardine. when i reached my station, this auntie who was standing in the middle of the door, and there were 2 other commuters leaning against the glass, so people were trying to squeeze thru her left and right sides, but it was too cramped already. she knew i want to move out, but still refused to move. so i said 'excuse me!!!' to her. she was stunned and quickly gave way.
