you buy from crumpler shop.. with full documentation (i.e. transaction slip, receipt by Crumpler Shop) then it is real.Originally posted by AMEN567889:ok now.
any one knows how to verify if my crumpler is authentic?
If it crumbles when left alone, it is authentic. If it stands up frigid, its fake.Originally posted by AMEN567889:ok now.

the only way a fake crumpler can end up in a crumpler shop is a dishonest sales person buying a fake one and sell it in the shop but that would mean the sale will be unrecorded.

In theory they are supposed to be the same...Originally posted by AMEN567889:ohh..so what about the quality between those made in asutralia and those made in china? the quality got compromise nots? or e same?
SO DARN TRUEOriginally posted by Ponders:In theory they are supposed to be the same...
but along the way there's bound to be human factors that will cause the difference.
Why i say "in theory"?
a) Nylon is nylon. Nylon in Australia is still Nylon in China.
b) Nylon made into fabric would "in theory" be the same
c) Fabric sewn into bag is still a bag no matter it is sewn (in theory)
the Human factors?
The nylon fibre and fabric factory in Australia maybe using a state of the art machine with latest technology incorporated. The work culture is such that workers in the factory plays a part in quality assurance.
To the extend that, when they say no food allowed in production, they really mean it. Factory must remain dust free, air must be of certain humidity, etc.
Where as in China, they may have the same machines, but the culture of the workforce might have a mentality of not wanting to make quality products.
e.g. Boss say cannot eat during work, Worker think "i don't see how my meat pao is going to affect the quality, and I am hungry." Not knowing, his/her greased hands (from the meat pao) is contaminating the process of making the fabric.
During stitching of fabric...
in australia, a worker thinks, "i think the stitch length is slightly longer, the machine have to be re-calibrated plus I must sound it to boss as this is a quality issue."
Boss knows about it, he/she will decide whether to withdraw the completed bags from distribution even though it is a cost.
In china, the worker thinks, "so what stitch length different? people in singapore just grab bag and pay $180, who is going to look into details? plus if i sound out to boss, boss will scold me or sack me for not checking stitch length when i started"
Even when boss ultimately know boss will think, "there are 500 bags that are stitched wrongly, but its only 2mm difference, if i withdraw from distribution, it means i will lose $10000 in potential revenue, i thikn ok lah. i sell this batch to Singapore, people are willing to fork out $180 simply because its a crumpler"
now you see the difference?
yup.. so you people out there... rather than buying a Crumpler...Originally posted by iaintmad:SO DARN TRUE
WE SHOULD PAY FOR WHAT ITS WORTH!
