Ponders said made it seems as though Australians = superior to Chinese in the production line, and the mindset of chinese = irresponsible. That, is a very bold statement.
You get serial killers in Australia, you also get serial killers in China.
You get irresponsible fools who compromise product quality in China, you will also get irresponsible fools who compromise product quality in Australia.
Those Made in China toys which were called back, most of them were called back because of the changed standard for toys. The ingredients used to made those toys were issued by Matell themselves, and those China companies used those ingredients to make them. So when Matell recall those toys, only China to blame?
You get quality product made in Australia, you will also get quality products made in China.
I was just stating an example.
But I stand by my statement.
I am not saying that Chinese can never make good quality stuff. But I am saying China is going towards the right direction.
You are comparing a mindset that only in recent years see the importance of producing quality stuff.
It's an entire system, culture, society and government involved.
Developed nations have very clear rules on work environment, work laws. Corporate responsibility is forced onto them though some company do it voluntarily.
In developing countries, companies are protecting their bottom line. and laws have not evolved to protect both consumer and workers.
Did Japan make good quality stuff? It took them decades to arrive at what they are doing these 2 decades.
Chinese factories have initial difficulty in producing good quality products because of problems close to what i mentioned in my earlier post.
The workers are mainly from rural areas, who DO NOT understand the status Crumpler brings on a user. To them, it's just like any bag they can easily stitch in the neighbourhood tailor. They don't feel the need to make good bags.
To counter this, the onus lies on the company to educate them, indoctrinate and sadly in some points, thru systems of punishments.
I do not despise Chinese or any products supposedly made by countries deemed inferior. I am just highlighting why a Chinese made equivalent product may be of inferior quality to it's original manufacturer.
