Last Friday, I went to Great World City as I remembered one optic shop that sell oakley frame. Only to be disappointed that it was no longer there.

Anyway, rush down to takashimaya and was told by the oakley counter that paris miki might carry the prescription frames. Went up there, maybe it was the way of my shabby dressing(T-shirt and shorts), I walked in the shop for a well 10 minutes and no one seems to care.

There was another smart causal dressed young couple there to window shop the sun glasses and the sale girl attended to them...

I saw another sale girl playing with a child about 3 years old...

I approached the guy who is serving another person at the counter and asked if someone can show me the frames. There was another sale lady behind him dunno doing what. After which that guy ask the lady to attend to me.

I waited for another 5 mins standing there do nothing... The lady came out with a bitter face. Ask her to show me the titanium range which she complies while giving that heck care face.

Ask her some question where in terms she try to snooke me with big terms that a normal person would not understand.

I was thinking... are you really selling things or you expect me to buy without any service... Anyway, got her namecard and left the place. Only to find that there is another location near my place.

Visited the location near my house today and make my oakley spect with transition lens there...

The younger staff at Tiong Bahru, while attending to me, run to serve another customer. Maybe because of my same shabby clothing again...

Then I approached the older guy and ask some simple questions and made the purchase on the spot and pay full with cash upfront. Sure made the other person miss out on making a sale. Wonder if they are on commission and on individual basis?

Why the attitude of sales persons in big retail shop become like that huh?

They do not even deserve to work there but maybe in some ah beng stores or those heerens or far east clothing store where service is not so much of concern.
I mean I do not expect excellent service but as least a smile, some help and definitely when I need assistance and you jump to another customer when clearly there are other people available to serve them...

Think I would log a complaint and hopefully their attitude would change...
