When getting spectacles, what is the difference between buying from the popular optical shops and the neighbourhood ones?
Any recommendations for good optical shops? I have a regular shop tht i go to for many years already, but seems like these days their frame models are getting more and more limited... -
Transitions very lousy. i used it for 3 months and got sick of it. u should just get normal lenses. transitions u may think the change very instantaneous. maybe when u go to bright place it changes color quite quickly. but when u walk from a bright place to a dark place, it takes very very long to change back to 100% transparency. very long could take up to 15-30 minutes. during the transition state, ur lens will be yellowish in color and if u look around everything will look like piss. after using it for a few months the lens turned yellowish permanently. and also if u drop your glasses, the photochromic substances in the lens will make a permanent mark looking like a huge chip in the lens.

May I ask the time that u went to the Paris Miki shop?
If its around evening time, then its a little understandable that they don't seemed as enthu to serve people, considering that they have been standing for hours. I once worked as a salesman at Robinsons a few years back, and I really changed my view on service personnel. It is indeed very tiring have 2 stay there and wait for people to buy things, and still have 2 smile throughout.
I am not saying that this type of service is acceptable, but maybe we can spare a thought for them next time. Only if they serve u with bad-nature replies or rudely do I think u should seriously complain. -

some expensive brands' shop is quite practical. i was in slippers, shorts today at town and i saw someone not being served in ralph lauren. he's also the same 'dressing code' as me. he's then pissed off by the salesperson (no one else is at the shop except the guy and the salesperson) and went off.

Me also work in retail last time but I do not show this tyoe of attitude while serving and do not work away in the middle of serving someone whether he or she is buying or not...
Maybe the service standard had changed since I stop working in retail?
Anyway, I walked in LV in the same clothing but people still serve me...
Think LV's basic higher so service better...
Btw, I always go out on my off days wearing the same thing... shorts and t-shirt no matter where I go. Shopping in town or neighbourhood, movies, chilling out with friends and even pubs. SG so hot and humid... wear too much would swear like hell... -

Wonder still can change or not... cos the person will wait for me to decide which colour to take before cutting the frame. Think tomorrow call him up and ask him about it... -

people only working for a living lah, dun so angry at them... next time dress smartly lor... if you dun want to dress smartly, then relax and dun worry so much about customer service lah, this shop dun wan earn your money, go next shop lah... relax brother, relax... if you want good customer service, pls visit my shop. i want to earn your money.

that's why I still like to buy things in town wearing berms and t-shirt....

Yup, with such hopeless sales attitude, how can Singapore make it as a shopping paradise?
Your letter of complaint should be warranted and I think you should writeto both Paris Miki and the Straits Times........ raise hell!
