I applaud that but how is that statement likely to assure non-Malay's that it is safe.Originally posted by storywolf:What is there to scare ? I been there lot of time, even help my aunty to setup Pasar Malam there before.
In fact, you should go, it is safer for you to be there then in china town !!!
Why ? malay community is very close group which help one another .... they really take care of one another more then other race. Since this is their major Pasar Malam, you think any nut case would want to create trouble for you there ? The people there will be on them in no time.
So don't worry go and enjoy yourself there and the warm hospitality of the Malay brothers and sisters
Well if they are one happy family there, people will take care of each other, including guests that visit there. Any trouble maker will have the whole lot to deal with ... which make it safe there.Originally posted by ^tamago^:I applaud that but how is that statement likely to assure non-Malay's that it is safe.
In any case, sometimes fear may be based on isolated experiences. It's like why some people won't dare to use the overhead bridge. I respect that but personally I'm fine with going Geylang Serai, just that it is a bit far for me anyway.
