Who would you rather date?

1) A person with 10 ex-es, but all flings (nothing lasting >3mths each); very possibly had sexual relations with a few of these ex-es.
2) A person with 1 ex, but was very very very serious (almost got married and was together with the ex for a few years); definitely had sexual relations with the person.

See, that's the thing, ... it's very possible that either way, your heart will end up getting broken whoever you date.
Thing is, if you date (1), you kind of already know it's going to happen ... and in 3 months, nothing emotional (on (1)'s end at least) will transpire - it will be very physical.
Whereas if you date (2), you also kind of already know that it's impossible (2) has no feelings for his/her ex ... but something emotional will eventually transpire so arguably the hurt will be more.

That's the other dimension to this hypo - the risk of STD if you date (1) .. so the emotional hurt you get from dating (2) is kinda offset by the physical risk if you date (1).
P.S.: Not interested in your views on physical love. I for one would never date a girl who didn't sleep with me; I mean I'd date her but it wouldn't last beyond a few months, at best a year. EDIT: I doubt it might even last a few months - my gfs have all slept with me; the longest it took was 1.5 months after getting together (so doesn't include time spent chasing) -
