Qn about getting a telescope

  Hey , i want to get a telescope that is good enough to see the moon
  and i dont want to get those extra big ones or toys , just an average size will do
  My defination of average look :
  
  
  QN : what do i have to look for to buy a telescope ? beside the range and price ?
  Is there other spec i have to check ?
  Am i right to say that telescope lens can keep adding on ?
  What will the price range be ?
  Is brand important ?
  And usually a telescope range that good enough is what x what mm ?
  
  And please , i want answer , dont ask me wether im look at moon or neighbour house.

  You want to see moon still ok, but you want to see nebula and whatever crap, dun think you can. After all the air quality in sg cannot make it.

  Can expect to pay $200 for a standard basic one.
  
  My friend got one around $500 for fishing purposes.

  but hor , telescope 1 brand celestron , got so many type like powerseeker , nexstar starhopper. which is better ?

  i got a fren who spent about 15k USD on a telescope. all eletronic and motorised one. that thing weight like an elephant sia, can be mounted on the ground oso. very cheem sia that one, can even automatically aim it's lens at watever galaxy u want it to see.

  Nexstar.
  Some telescope range can only see until the moon and its surfaces. Others can see beyond the moon.

  Depends how much you pay. If you pay 1.5k, of cos u get good one.

  hey hey , newbie dun start with these , im talking about the 1st model , or the most cheapest among the brand
  
  dunno why, somehow i dont like nexstar leh , if i say i beginner start with firstscope or powerseeker. what your view
  
  or maybe you can give me tip on the pros and con and what difference of those type from nexstar, thx

  i had one good enuff to see the moon close up but not good enough to see the craters clearly all that..
  
  in the end, it was quite frustrating cos the moon kept moving.
  
  the more powerful ur telescope, the more irritating cos the moon will seem to move even faster and u have to keep adjusting ur telescope.
  
  so.. i suggest u get a tracking telescope if u haf the money =/
