Blood Donation @ Raffles MRT (2nd Oct 2007)
A free "complimentary" MRT pass was given for blood donors under SMRT but then only a fee of 65 cents was deducted from my EZ link card.
I traveled from Clementi to Raffles Place Station for the blood donation drive but apparently, after giving my ticket to the control station MRT assistant from Outram park, only a fee of 65 cents was deducted out of the fare of $1 plus and she told me that I still have to pay for the transport fee from Clementi to Raffles..
I was totally disgusted and disappointed as it was suppose to be a complimentary ride!!
If this is the case, I think the "drive" should be held out of the station and the pass should not be given at all! I see many foreigners donating blood as well and i wonder what they will think of Singapore.
Does complimentary ticket refer to that miserable 65 cents?? And worse of all, it is not even stated on the ticket itself except waiver of that particular trip.
Complimentary literally means free
