  hi all,
  
  for those of you here who wear glasses, do u find it constantly slipping down your nose when your face gets oily?
  i've tried putting those rubber hooks at the back but it's pretty useless.
  
  i think besides the oily issue, my nose ridge is not very sharp or high, so the nose latch of the spectacles (the two little rubber things) can't really hook it.
  it's very uncomfortable.
  
  any kind of accessories that can solve this problem?
  i think i'm gonna go to specs shop and ask the lady to tweak the rubber hooks and pull it all the way out so that it can latch onto my nose properly.

  the 2 metal thing will curve to hook on ur ear, curve the hook abit(ask the person)

  ask your optician to fix it for you, as the frame is of general specs, and different ppl has different lvl of the nose and ear on their face and head respectively.

  on another topic, is the brand "police" good? its my specs now, made in italy so dunno if its a good brand

  Is your nose really flat?
  
  Some people cannot even wear glasses due to their flat noses. So they wear contact lens.

  Police is quite a good brand I'll say, some of their designs are nice!
  
  Anyway, one way is to clear the oil at that area with water and soap. I always do that and find that it'll hold better.

  The rubber thingy should be enough if you put it closer and make it tight...
  
  But, the rubber thingy will make it slip a little if put on at the end only but it will nv fall off...

  since u aldy have a pair of spec, y not u try & ask the optician to change to a silicon nose pad for u. around $3 to $8. i feel is better..

  what's the diff between this kind and the normal ones?
  
  also, is it those neighbourhood shop also got offer silicon nose pad?
  or only those "branded" shops like optical 88 and spectacle hut?

  dun forcefully push the spec towards ur nose, will leave marks if u do that for long term

  silicon nose pad is more rubbery feeling, thus it will be less slippery.. u can try as the price is quite reasonable.
  
  hmm.. i did mine at neighbourhood shop. not sure if all neighbourhood shop have it.

  but isn't silicon more or less the same as plastic?
  plus, after a while, the rubbery effect also wears off, right?

  silicon helps, gives more grip than the cheapskate plastic ones. its 4 bucks if im not wrong at thomson plaza

  thanks unclebutch....but is there any easy way to tell if my specs have silicon nose pieces or plastic ones?
  i feel my ones are like very elastic, rubbery, so maybe they're silicon already.
  i think the plastic ones are hard and cannot bend much.
  
  also, is there such a thing as a "thick" nose piece, so that the latch and grip will be even better? because for people like me whose upper nose ridge area is quite flat, the more protruded and thicker the nose piece, the better.

  my specs the width is small, so it grips to my face and doesn't slip. i know, its damn irritating right, for it to keep slipping.

  by the way, is there such a thing as an "anti-slip, sweat-resistant" nose piece that is available as a third-party accessory that can be fitted onto general specs?

  Go for a nose plastic surgery, get it sharp, better looking and able to hold the glasses you are wearing. Very Cheap. Day surgery only $200.
