well, gals don't wear heals all the time, neither do they wear dresses all the time, neither do they carry heavy things all the time.Originally posted by Where Is God:Personally, I'd open doors, help pull their chairs out when they are leaving the table and offer to carry their stuff as much as i can.
This is nothing about equality or whatsoever. The reason why we should do this is because
1. It is not easy to open a door in high heels. Besides, most girls have frail and weak arms.
2. It is difficult to stand up at a table without looking clumsy or tripping over their dress.
3. They have weak arms and legs, and i could use some endurance training while shopping.
I think most guys who ever had a girlfriend would understand all these and not cite reasons such as "oh, it's the new age!" or "Oh, they are calling for equality and now this?!".
After all, men are generally the superior gender in terms of physical strength, hence, it would be helpful to be a gentlemen.
Rethinked about it, i do actually have a few who are deserving of gentlemanly habits...Originally posted by wonderamazement:For the girls i know? No way...![]()
but i dun reali think guys expect u to help them pull out their chair as well rite?Originally posted by :I believe in basic courtesy to all and not practise on just the feminine gender.
To just do so for girls smacks of hypocrisy more than chivalry to me leh...![]()
