Invitation from Marriott to view their gallery

Received a call from a lady claiming to be representing Marriott, asking me to attend their gallery opening at Ngee Ann City. I will be given this and that voucher for 90 minutes of my time as well as 2 hour parking voucher.
This lady spoke super fast, as though it's a run-away train.
WTH! Where did they get my number?
However, when she asked my salary and that didn't meet their so-called minimum specification, she hung up pretty damn quick.
So what was that all about?

When I saw the fine print on their flyer, I guess they are selling timeshare stuff and lost interest already.
They have promo booths along Scotts Rd promoting cheap holiday deals at their resorts, but to get the deals, one of the conditions is that you and your partner MUST attend and sit through their (minimum) 90 minute presentation, and must have combined income of min. $6k or if single, a single income of $6k per month.
Note: Their cheap prices quoted exclude airfare...read the fine print! -

Dunno how the hell they got my number. It's a new line, less than 3 days only. Haven't even got time to tell people my new number.
I suspect these timeshare people got insiders working in the telco. Wanted to lodge a complain then, but unfortunately too busy and forgotten about it.

Either could be getting our contact numbers from credit card companies or mobile telcos.
Next time I cut-off the line straight away instead of hearing super-fast promotion given by the lady on whatever shopping and dining voucher to be given away. -
