distribution of housework between parents

Now that more females are educated and have jobs out in the workforce to supplement the household income, do you guys and gers think that there should be equal distribution of housework within the husband and wife? Or are females still expected to contribute to most of the housework?

wife wash 2 plates, husband must wash 2 plates, using exactly same amt of water and soap
wife mopped 20 floor tiles, husband must oso mop 20 floor tiles

hire a maid and let her do
then husband and wife also must do to
husband mop floor esp when wife got baby
cannot bend too much not good
husband fix all the faulty stuff ..like change the bulb
then i think the wife just
maybe just do some cooking or some ironing of clothes
