How to take care of baby turtle...?

My dad just brought home a baby sea turtle from East Coast (says that it refused to return back to the sea). Now question is, how do we take care of it?

1) What does it eat?

2) should we provide it with salt water (salt+tapwater) or just normal tapwater? My dad is also concerned about chlorine in the water.

you cannot.. it had to go back to the sea.. because NO ONE knows what happens to baby sea turtles except they swim out to the sea and try to find floating seaweed rafts...

then.. no one knows what happens until they become adults..

try to give the thing to the people who run the sentosa sea thing as soon as you can...

wait i think sea turtles are not allow as pets due to their endangered status? you better pass it to the zoo or underwater world

they're CITES Appendix Type ONE.. critically endangered..

it is illegal to have one.. go give it to the Sentosa Underwater World fellas as soon as you can..

but im sure u can feed it with vegetables now just to keep it alive.

I think i better to give it to the zoo... put back into the sea is like sending it to its grave. Based on my knowledge, baby sea turtles have a very low chance of surviving out in the wild.

also, what species is it? some eat meat, some eat carrion, some eat jellyfish, some eat algae..

I love animals...and always have to fight the urge to not bring home stranded animals from the wild.

After i tried to keep a baby owl alive @ home (it was abandoned by some workers who tore down a building it's nest was on) and it died...i swore never again to "try" with another living thing's life and seek help from people who knew how to really help. Experts in the field.

Just looking at the turtle breaks my heart...so fricking cute and small. Sad

Please bring it to the Underwater world guys as soon as possible...it might not even survive another night if proper procedures are not taken to ensure it's survival.

If you have to, i think keeping the turtle in a little bit of tap water is much less damaging to it than keeping it in water with kitchen salt dissolved in it. But either way, the turtle will die very quickly if not replaced into natural sea water. Rolling Eyes

Anyway as for your question on what to feed the turtle, try defrosted and shelled prawn meat, the type that we eat. I don't think it'll eat veggies... it's a turtle, not a terrapin!

ok, ts, if u are really sincere to rear this creature, go to any aquarium shop and ask for aquatic salt. These salts are normally used to rear pets like the clown fishes and other sea creatures.
