from my aunt teaching, she does not let her young son to watch those kiddy fighting shows, eg pokemon or power rangers. she tells her son he will turn "bad" if he does so.
so if u watch 'too' much mr bean will u become a person who laughs easily at things?
if u watch too much kiddy shows(those adult watching cartoon), u become, erm, inmatured?
if u watch p***, u will be s*x crazed and do "stupid" things?
So is it true this can make one like that? -
yes. its like something like dis. like you study with some pro-studying people u will tend to study more. etc.

BS... I'm a massive Jackie Chan fan but I don't go round trying to kung fu kick everyone and I'm also a big Sly fan but I don't go round trying to blow people up... it takes a certain degree of stupidity and neglect to be thrown into the mix amongst other things.
As for the studying thing being around people who do things and being influenced to do the same (peer pressure) is an entirely different thing to being influenced by what you see on TV... the vast majority of people are capable of knowing that kicking someones teeth in is wrong no matter how many times they see it on TV, and they don't just go out and copy it. -

it all depends. for your aunt's case, it is because her son is young and does not and do not know what is to be learnt and what is not. Afterall power rangers is a every-episode-fight-win show, which makes the son pretty much want to learn the moves, since he knows that power rangers are the ''good'' guys.
my cousin watched power rangers, and yes, he started kicking around and stuff..but im sure as he grows older he'll stop'em . i remember when i was young and watching power rangers, i myself too do a little kick and stuff, it's just like influence and stuff...example after watching some harry potter movie u start taking some stick pointing at your friends and chanting the spell(for some.)
Overall what i want to say is, it does not make u violent, except if u're a kid ( like below 7 years old? ) other than that..how the show influenecs you is depended on how you think.. -

Depends. If a person is easily influenced, then of course will. Especially a child of a young age.

u have to see the person's perspective against certain subjects like the cartoons
or violent games... different people treats different types of movies/tv programmes with different perspective
so it boils down the the kid being influenced easily or not

i've seen kids in the public acting (and speaking) like in some shows/movies. Some were rather violent too... Somehow I feel sad for their parents.

The first time u watch a violent movie, say a man smashes another guy's head to bits, u may crimp...
The second time u see it u dun crimp so much...

There are reports thats how the nazis (or is it the north koreans??) train their soldiers to "improve" their effectiveness in war. Exposure to killings and violence and praises for their leaders at a young age... everyday...brain washing. -

I've been watching violent gory movies since 6 and I'm perfectly fine. I watched the Rambo movies when I was 6 and movies like Judge Dredd and Pulp Fiction since kindergarten and I've never been violent.
